I can feel the Force swirling around us like a current trying to drag the crew underwater.

Not a problem for me either way.

We had a good plan. We got the codes easily enough and Tyr was able to bluff his way into the com station and send the message to the waiting transport. We then headed out to the rendezvous point.

Things went smoothly.

We sent the codes and they sent us the location of the base. We got there and found that the storage base was protected by hologram and a mean set of anti-ship guns.

Things went smoothly.

We landed and Tyr and Ari went to talk to the base commander and they opened their warehouse doors and started loading the Gambit.

Things went smoothly.

Manco and Ari then went to take out two of the loaders, so that we could start infilitrating the base, securing the good, disabling the defenses and getting the hell out of here.

That’s when it began. When the Force started to gather around my crewmates.

I would have thought Manco and Ari would make short work of two warehouse rates, especially if they took them by surprise. Apparently I overestimate their abilities as no sooner had they cornered them in the cargo hold, when the alarm started going off a the base and I get some apologetic growling over my helmet’s comms saying that things had not gone according to plan.

They were alerted to our presence.
Tyr ran towards the warehouse and Ari sprinted past me to join him. Manco darted out as well, picking up his ridiculously large rifle on the way (I’m not sure why he didn’t blast those 2 loaders). I followed, centring my thoughts and drawing my light sabre. There were shots fired from a large gun emplacement, I thought that Manco was going to be hit when I felt the Force coalesce around him and he managed to dodge out of the way at the last minute.

I had felt this confluence of energy around my crew mates before. Maybe there was a way for me to affect this energy, or draw strength from it…

I sighed and almost lost control of the force myself before finding inner peace. Told myself to concentrate and prepared for battle.

It’s going to be one of those missions.

All we need now is a trio of Twi’lek mercenaries to show up and steal the loot.
